Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language social problem film directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Nishant Pitti, and Krishan Kumar.[4] The film tells the story of inflated electricity bills in rural India and stars Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, and Yami Gautam. Principal photography commenced in February 2018 in Tehri, Uttarakhand and was completed in July 2018. The film was released worldwide on 21 September 2018.
